Position: Treasurer of the Native American Democratic Caucus of New Mexico
The Native American Democratic Caucus of New Mexico (NADCNM) is seeking a dedicated, organized, passionate and proactive individual to serve as Caucus Treasurer.
This is a critical leadership position responsible for managing the organization's financial integrity, leading fundraising efforts, and ensuring strict compliance with all state reporting requirements. The Treasurer plays a vital role in developing the strategic financial roadmap for the caucus.
The NADCNM Treasurer will be responsible for the following key areas:
Financial Oversight & Reporting
Manage and reconcile the caucus bank account (U.S. Eagle).
Prepare and present monthly financial reports (income, expenses, balances) for all general meetings.
Maintain organized financial records, ledgers, and bank statements in the shared Google Drive.
Fundraising & Budgeting
Lead the collaborative development and management of the NADCNM annual budget.
Develop and execute the annual fundraising plan, including coordinating events, managing digital (ActBlue) campaigns, and building donor relations.
Compliance & Campaign Finance
Ensure strict adherence to all New Mexico campaign finance laws.
File all required campaign finance reports with the NM Secretary of State accurately and by all deadlines.
Maintain all documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
Donation & Membership Management
Monitor ActBlue for incoming membership dues and donations.
Process all contributions, manage donor acknowledgments, and coordinate with the Secretary to maintain an accurate member roster.
